Lakeland Gardeners was established in 2010. Our mission is to serve the community and to further educate club members in all topics related to gardening. Our main commitment is the maintenance of and raising of funds for the serenity garden pictured above at Aspirus Seasons of Life Hospice house in Woodruff, WI

Lakeland Gardeners members care for a serenity garden on the hospice grounds beginning with spring clean up, continuing through summer, and ending with putting the garden to rest for the winter. We also work with Howard Young Foundation to install engraved bricks in the garden walkways to honor the memory of love ones who have passed.
Membership in Lakeland Gardeners is open to all who want to improve their knowledge of gardening and who are willing to devote some time to the maintenance of the Aspirus Seasons of Life Hospice garden. More information is available under the above tabs "Lakeland Gardeners" and "Contact Us."

While located on the Aspirus Seasons of Life hospice house site, the garden is open to the public as a quiet retreat and a place for peaceful contemplation. Please respect the garden and its features and close all gates when you depart.
We ask members to be willing to participate in any club activities as they are able, from working in the hospice garden, arranging for or presenting an educational program at a club meeting, hosting a meeting in your own garden, planning and/or participating in fundraisers, and to serve a term as a club officer.
